The Age of Aquarius

A child of the sixties Big dreams Big hair I was there Now past my prime fast running out of time I don my hippiest attire with flowers in my hair I am sweet sixteen again travelling back in time ~ I'm there A show I never saw before A truly iconic must see Songs still loved by young and old now 50th anniversary Off I go to see the show happy souls high in the sky back to an era of peace and love I enter a psychedelic world through a kaleidoscopic lens as the Age of Aquarius begins… ‘The moon is in the Seventh House and Jupiter aligns with Mars peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars’ It is the dawning of The Age of Aquarius as Hair ~ the musical begins… Written 11th July 2019 after seeing the iconic musical Hair… Contest Strand Pick F Sponsor Brian Strand 2nd PLACE

Hair was the Best! I saw it in Chicago.. All those naked people at the end blew me away. It was done tastefully, Anne, compared to the raunchy music of today. Which is disgusting and anything but musical. I was in San Francisco during The Summer of Love. I still like the beautiful clothes from back then. You cannot replicate them. My FAV group? Jefferson Starship. Panagiota..Excellent Poem, Ann.
