The Afterglow
A pal may lend a hand,
A friend may understand,
A brother wakes,
And undertakes,
A miracle unplanned.
A sister helps you through,
A sticky point of view,
She penetrates,
And elevates,
A visionary you.
A Mother's love is sure,
When life is insecure,
Her tender touch,
Is more than such,
The wicked can endure.
A Father lets you fall,
But helps you stand up tall,
He never fails,
The last details,
Forgiveness most of all.
A stirring in your soul,
May proudly win control,
The afterglow,
Confirms you know,
The joy that makes you full.
