The Abandon Farm
I have always wanted something wonderful out of life
But my mother said there is always a price
It has nothing to do with land, money or property
Someone has always been there for me and I am very sorry
Cowards hide behind their doors causing a terrible uproar
Giving out conceited orders resulting in many disorders
It is with love and compassion that I speak and use this formidable technique
My ancestors originated from ancient Greek but I will not doublespeak
I have been trying to pen this verse since yesterday
But something profound entered my space and led my mind astray
And I forgot what I wanted to say
But today as I was preparing to go away
The words come knocking on my door
with an urgent message from the distant shore
and I could not ignore it anymore
Yesterday I felt a sudden heat penetrating my body
I felt a burning sensation inside
And something inconceivable was dragging me to the countryside
I did not know where to go so I went in the direction where my spirit flows
I turned into the narrow street to get some fresh fruits
But the prices were way above the roof
I felt aloof and walked away from that seller
because he was doing something improper
I bought three pounds of water melon from a woman
And ate some of it at the stand
Water melons are almost out of season and
And it was sold for a Yuan per pound this was more than high treason
I deeply contemplated the reasons
I bought some tangerines that were very green
It was not the season but they were plucked off the trees for no reason
They are a destruction to the environment this is a global embarrassment
Hundreds of idle men sit on the sidewalks
Playing cards and looking at me like the eastern orthodox
Slothful men, unprincipled men, retired men with bushy beard
big, strong and un-inspired men waiting patiently to be hired
Inquisitive and curious women gathered around, inquiring about me
They looked at me up and down and giggled at me with a curious frown
They form a circle around and started to question me
The circle got bigger and thicker so I moved away quickly to control their politicks
I bid them goodbye and rode down the street with a deep, humble sigh listening to the wind as it rumbles by
I found a comfortable spot on top of the bridge to relax and listen to my
Inner pitch
The afternoon gazed at me with sympathy as it revealed my predicted destiny
Tall giant trees with branches spreading around looked steadfast above me
While the abandon farm below lamented selfishly at me
The dried up river beneath the bridge kept reminding me of my sins and where I have been
I have multiplied the X and Y chromosome and this species originated in Rome
The intense heat forced the workmen to lay down their tool for a day
While the abandon farm looked directly at me, with dried sticks shooting in the air as if they have something to share
Stagnant water settled in boxes and the swampy grounds drenched with mosquitoes and water fungus
The overgrown vegetable patches looked subtlety at me , it appeared as if no one was in town
The plants have dried up too and the vegetable plants were laying flat on the ground
What on earth is going on, on this side of town?
I looked around to search for answers but I did not hear anything from New Hampshire
The trees on the other sides stood amazed and the forests on the next side were set ablaze
The bright blue clouds smiled gentle over me as it changed the course of my ruthless predicted destiny
One woman toiling in the rice field ploughing the swampy rice patch with all the strength she's got and I was very happy about that.
Everything around her was healthy and green and I watched her ploughing merrily away towards the final day
She level out the ground and revealed the golden seal
She owns all rice field in this area and the one that belong to the man was in imminent danger, stagnant, dirty overgrown, and fall victim to peddlers and depraved travelers in the blooming town
I stood on top of the bridge where it all began
And at last I was able to take the stand
and got rid of the unscrupulous business man from the abandon land.
