The Price
Sometimes when the trials of life,
become too hard to bare ;
I think back to calvary,
and my savior hanging there.
I think of how He must have felt,
while nailed upon the cross ;
Knowing He was innocent ,
but willing to pay the cost .
For sinful man to be redeemed ,
and live in paradise ;
His sins must be forgiven ,
by a SUPREME sacrifice .
Jesus freely gave His life ,
He made our sins His own ;
And on the cross - forgave us ,
Now He sits on heavens throne.
Now the burdens that I carry ,
don't seem so bad to me ;
For I know that I can leave them
at the foot of calvary .
