That You Are Kind

with kindnesses
fill up my mind

remind me of God’s precious gift
when my soul needs a hefty boost
when my fears need to be reduced
when desperate, I need a lift

your kindness will always uplift
when I seem in a downward drift

with kindnesses

You, friend, are never one to shift

I found the specs for the meditative ballad difficult; like you I hope I have it right. I checked with one of Emile's poems https://www.poetrysoup.com/poem/you_are_my_friend_1408397 L Milton Hankins December 3, 2021 at 10:47 AM Reason, I completely rewrote it, after all. I hope this version is much better. I finally picked up on the needed rhymes. It helps me to know that others found it a complex format.
