“That was then, this is now” is right as today’s generation shows gap distinctions so clearly bright about how technology glows. I said before to my dear Dad “That was then, this is now” is right And he believed such, was not mad In adjusting to language blight. Understanding with all my might Fashion styles of varied design “That was then, this is now” is right Along perspective I call mine. Enjoying changes midst truth’s worth My heart abides in divine light Steadfast, respecting fads with mirth “That was then, this is now” is right.

thanks for sharing this lovely poem...reminds me of a similar conversation I had with both my mom and dad. I too learned to respect fads with mirth, realizing I didn't have to buy into them (literally). Great contest entry. Have a great Sunday
