Upon meeting that special person There's no doubt in your searching mind You can sense it, this is surely the one It's a feeling like no other kind Suddenly you stutter and stammer Your face turns a crimson red Wonder if you remembered deodorant Or put on two pairs of Jockeys instead You hope and pray she doesn't notice The fumbling, the nervous twitch You try and try to act cool and together Not sure which hand is which Right handed, but maybe left Your brain is in absolute befuddlement You wish her a very good day then wham You walk straight into an ill placed hydrant You are not alone, it happens every day It's definitely a worldwide affliction If, as you think, she is the one You, my dear friend, are smitten © Jack Ellison 2013

I was way cooler that all that... On our first date we were eating pizza and talking... All the toppings slid off my pizza and landed in my lap! It didn't phase my date at all... He was my keeper... We've been married 35 years...

Are your little guys okay??? That's two I've read this morning and no mention of them!!!! I've been doing klutzy things all my life... the ladies, for some strange reason, think it's adorable! Don't understand! Big hugs, Miss Carol xoxox

Yes, I was smitten, and am every day when I wake up and she is there next to me! I am so lucky my friend, I do love her to pieces! This poem exemplifies exactly what I went through when I first met Emma, I think I ran into something when I met her, don't remember...I blocked that out of my head, that embarrassment anyway. I really loved reading this exciting piece this morning Jack! What a delightful verse this one surely was! Great Work!!
