That Is the Dream I Have

Being the lone cause, I admit fault
Accepting blame for our recent past
For I was the one churning atmosphere
Blowing into winds dusty hot air
Watching it become a tornado,

Leaving you to face the storm alone
Creating a vacuum that swallowed you.

But the sky's blue, dread has passed
Rain departed breaking dark clouds
Vanquishing remnants of misty thoughts
That ravaged your pristine grounds.

Flooding the horizon with twilight
Pouring colors on silky canvas
Evening has made festive plans
Inviting presence of celestial stars,

And I have joined the entourage,
Millions of twinkling lights above
Guiding the night to brand new start
As you welcome me with open arms.

That is the dream I have.

Repentance and confession always will wash away past mistakes. Again a new dawn of hope awaits for a fresh beginning.... to be reconciled and start all over again. Beautiful poem dear Vijay.

Hi Vijay, what a dream you have. The storm is over and you hope that love can shine again. I so enjoy spending a little time reading through your emotions. My heart can sing as your words direct. Such an excellent gem of a poem Vijay. Have a wonderful Sunday. Your friend always....Mike.

This is a lovely poem of atmospheric sentiment, visually enchanting. Great stuff Vijay. I especially love this: "But the sky's blue, dread has passed Rain departed breaking dark clouds Vanquishing remnants of misty thoughts That ravaged your pristine grounds."

Vijay, once a person chokes down their pride and opens their mind, forgiveness comes a lot easier. I have had similar dreams but none of them ended with open arms, mine were more like nightmares. I like that the poem ends on a positive turn. Good luck1
