That Fickle Sun
For all that’s good,
enjoy the sun when it but warms your face
Before the teardrops fall like rain
through shadow’s cold embrace
For fleeting is that fickle sun
a temperamental fool
And one can never know
when clouds will come and pain will rule
As no one can escape
the highs and woes which chance our way
We should, we must
hold dear the shine of every sunny day
