That Dreaded Day

I count the weeks the days the hours until the dreaded day arrives the day that you were taken the very time the very moment the very second you were gone so cruelly picked so out of the blue so why ~ I ask did they choose you My darling boy the dearest husband sweet loving father and loyal friend Whom I wonder made the choice on that day your life would end I wish I knew the answer I wish I could have known I would have held you as you went I would have told you of my love I would have been there at the end to hold your hand ~ to say goodbye to watch your sweet soul soar up high my only son ~ my precious one please let me know that you are now somewhere safe with those you loved patiently waiting up above for us below ~ who loved you so My Son ~ please somehow let us know

Tomorrow is my only son's Angelversary and I came here to find the courage to face it again. I found your poem and wanted to send my love, peace, and understanding. I am so sorry for your loss. We walk a lonely road and I hope you have found some peace on your grief journey.
