That Certain Glow
...for my pal, Mikki
Two sweethearts in the sunset of their years
share a bench, a pleasant disposition,
big smiles for passers-by, no time for tears,
days are spent in happy contemplation.
Two children with a bushel full of schemes,
imaginations ripe and fit to burst!
fairy tales and fancies mark their dreams,
carefree, they never contemplate the worst.
What keeps them close, and nestled in His arms,
the answer, the need for this connection?
love and friends alleviate your qualms,
compassion is a source for calm reflection.
A gentle word to counter grief and pain,
a hug, and love will flourish once again!
