THANK-YOU FOR TODAY
How I long for every day
Be it happy, sad, or same,
Full of worries, if I may,
To remind you
Of a thank-you,
You must say.
How I long for every day,
Health, I could complain
But choose not to
If okay.
Keep your loved ones
Close,
I propose,
It’s one huge gain.
I love life, for every day
Is a gift.
Enjoy the power,
Of every precious hour.
Own today,
In your own special way,
Make it glow,
Should you feel
The need to cry,
For a loved did die,
Let your tears flow
Remember though to
Say thank-you,
For this given day.
I fell and
Broke a bone,
The pain intense,
A stranger passed
And helped me up,
With a gentle hand,
And a face so kind,
It blew my mind,
For then
I had no pain,
I was about to thank
Him but he had gone,
How could I
Ever feel alone,
A wonderful family,
And a warm cozy home,
And a stranger,
Who healed me,
Could it be………………
So silently I
Counted my blessings.
Remember to always say
Thank-you Lord, for today.
