Thanksgiving Tradition

Thanksgiving has a tradition in my family of unity, 
a simple gathering of friends and family, of giving
to those in need and have nowhere to spend the day.

Thanksgiving is a true expression of our thanks,
each one present revealing what they are most
thankful for in the past year, good or bad.

Thanksgiving is sharing our best recipes and
showing gratitude for the wondrous events in our lives
and remembering those who have sacrificed for our freedom.

Thanksgiving is a prayerful event at which we 
humbly thank our Lord for the love and goodness
He has shown us and for that which He has blessed us.

Thanksgiving is year-round but bound in this special day
with a ribbon of simple festivity and reunion that
sustains us until we meet again in harmony.
