Thanksgiving Time, Thanks

Thanksgiving time is a time when the colors of fall are seen,

when the home is filled with the cooking aromas in the air.

We sit down to a bountiful table with prayer in hand,

to give thanks for all we have.

Thanksgiving time is a time to remember the present and the past,

the ones not with us may be far away or have passed.

A day for fun, great eats, relaxation, talk and games,

how could one ask for anything more?

Thanksgiving time is a time of year, just one simple day,

I wonder why everyday can't be a day of thanksgiving.
