Thanksgiving Scare

serving up a Thanksgiving scare
the sleeping grandfather suddenly
sneaks up and over, like a shadow,
his grandson unaware until boo - the scare
until the son sneaks up and over his father
unaware until a hysterical scare
what a pair!
family doubled over falls to the floor
— let the bodies hit the floor
— let the bodies hit the floor*
the pyramid scheme in full tilt

OMG, Kim. This is so funny. As a kid I would wake up in the morning and stand outside the bathroom door waiting for my mother to come out. When she did, I did the boo thing..lol I got slapped many a time..lol Love this...Charlie

Not what you'd expect in a poem that involves both a grandpa and bodies hitting the floor. :) great write, I'm glad you had a fun day with your family. Here's to many more!
