Thanksgiving For Freedom's Seed

Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday Hearkening back to the days of the pilgrims, Giving thanks for a bountiful harvest this way. Over the centuries, celebrated by millions, A time for reflecting on blessings received Among them is the example of Roger Williams. Who stood up strongly for what he believed Establishing a free church in Rhode Island, The right to worship as we please was conceived. Reasons for Thanksgiving throughout the land Are as numerous as our citizenries’ imagination Always pertinent, interesting, and never bland. No matter what our circumstances or station Let’s give hearty thanks for our blessings indeed But most of all let’s all be grateful for our nation, For forefathers who nourished freedom’s seed.
