Thanksgiving

Once upon a time…
Across the blue horizon, the vast ocean;
Brought the soul out of the motherland,
The loving culture of the ancestors,
Resettled in the freedom land…

Look at the former immigrant’s eyes
Faced heavy snow of winters,
Endured the terrible weather
The native people warmly hosted,
Offered a turkey for food,
The memorable tale of Thanksgiving.
The thankful Americans!

Look at the current immigrant’s eyes
Fled from the harmed situations,
Sheltered in the modest conditions
Heartily hosted by the new neighbors;
Offered a turkey for food,
The actual gesture of Thanksgiving.
The thankful Americans!

Look at the future immigrant’s eyes
On and on…
The Infinite thankful Americans!
