Listen to poem:

Thanks For the Soup

Words flow through my head like finely aged wine
The poetry spills in verses sublime
And finer now that I've become
One of the many who have become one
We are all blessed with gift of word
And now our voices can finally be heard
Joy to the many and joy to the One
Who revels in wordplay and lets us have fun
Stirring together a wonderful creation
Of voices from all different lands and nations
Pouring emotion across all pages
We gather together of all different ages
To share this passion of poem and pen
Thank you my friends, I'm glad I joined in!

Hi Chris, wonderful words in your poem, it is great to have PS and I am happy you are here:) The other day I read a poem by Lisa Ricci about feeling free riding her horse. In my comment I recommended she visit you and discover your amazing animal writes. I will always remember the impact of the first one I read and feel just as moved with each new one I discover. You are the best:) ..plus you sing your own lyrics!:) lynnxx I came to see if you found your 'his & her' poem. happy Easter xx

sorry about the audio...some others have been able to hear it but it is not the best recording...it's from my cell phone. I will have to upgrade my computer software to get better audio in the future. Thanks for the encouraging remarks Connie! Warms my heart:)

I said that because I don't know your country. Last time US had a draft was in the 60's.

I was born in the 60's...guess that wasn't clear, I should have said I received a notice to register for the draft in the eighties...I live in Michigan... and though wrong generation I am a bit of a hippy.

Thanks Paul... I'm not as gifted as some here, I'm not so good at different forms of poetry... I just write it as it comes! Thanks for reading.

WONDERFUL!!! And I am so glad I listened to your voice. I was thinking Chris as a boy's name. But you are Chris a girl!!

That's ok... I've always been a tomboy anyway, and with this spelling I've often been mistaken for a boy...Here's a chuckle, I got a draft notice when I turned eighteen addressed to Mr. Chris!
