Notes About The Poem

Whenever I pass by this place I go in and walk around without buying a thing because being there is so pleasing and calming. It's just amazing how they keep it the way they do. Hard to imagine how it's possible. I wonder if special trips or tours for people with OCD would qualify as hypnotherapy.

Seeing aisles of messy shelves
Before a shopper even delves
Is a horrible curse
Which Whole Foods can reverse
With stockers who were Santa's elves

Funny you should mention that silent one. I did two books about 10 years ago. I might do another one in the next year or so. I'll see. You have been on this site for a long time. I saw a lot of comments you left for Laura Breidenthal, who's poetry I also enjoy. I appreciated all your comments and hope to read more of your work. You have a kind heart and an ability to write beautiful work.

Yes, Paghunda, messes are not very nice to deal with. Seems as though many exist these days. It takes time and care to keep things in order. I hadn't thought about it too much, but the fighting we see, killing, and bombing are also forms of a mess. Our diplomats have to put that in order, but that is really tough. Maybe all diplomats should work at Whole Foods before being sent to work (lol)

Oh how cute and a great compliment for the store. Keeping Things neat and tidy is great, but clean as well. Bought a hair band for my grand-daughter - when I brought it home, the underneath was covered with dust. A small thing, but a big store, so I took it back with the tag, but i had lost the payslip. Without a pay slip is a sin these days but I made a bit of a scene and they changed it after I had looked it over, surely the same is happening with their more expensive items also Hugs Jen.

Jennifer, I have an appointment near the store on March 1, so I will go and spend a little time at that store for relaxation and for exploring an orderly place. The experience you had with dust was typical these days. It's shameful how they have lost a sense of cleanliness. At least they replaced it for you.

Oh wow, this is such an adorable Limerick, I love the mention of 'Santa's elves'.. Gives a nice heartwarming touch to the poem, also, I do love to visit in such neat and serene places where things are so systematically arranged, it gives a soothing feeling! Andrea, thanks. They do a lot of home deliveries and have jobs for drivers who actually deliver door to door. They are part of the Amazon warehouse network and make Amazon more efficient for all its shoppers. Our very rich have to have a place to shop they can call their own (lol)!! I am in awe about the neatness. It's so foreign to most other places.

Hilda, yes it's part of Amazon, which Jeff Bezos owns a big part of. He's not the greatest role model--living an extremely extravagant life. But they do have the neatest supermarket. I give him credit for that, at least.
