Thankful To Get a Home

For my dreams, I have left my home far away But I don't find my internal peace anymore I have now the whole new world to explore Like a petite bird who left its nest to follow a new way I am tired of pretending and I want to be me I want to embrace those moments of my childhood They cared for me selflessly, old days were so good Now I have my own qualities which this world can see I am locked away and my home is the only key It seems now I have left my heart out there My pain and sorrow are becoming so hard to bear I wish I could return my home which is summoning me 19 November 2018 Sponsored by Tania Kitchin Thankful Poetry Contest
