Thankful For Vorfreude
May we be blessed to acknowledge all the wonders in our life
that have, for us, thus far accrued…
and to begin each day with a word of thanks…
and thoughts of gratitude.
Today I’m thankful for vorfreude
Something we’ve felt since we were girls and boys…
It comes from the German Language
and translated it means…before joy.
We feel it just before we open presents…
before we’re about to uncover treasures…
It’s the joyful anticipation that comes
from imagining future pleasures.
