Thankful

Thanks... giving...
It is a single moment of peace, 
in all our lives, 
captured at a dinner table, 
in a small kitchen, 
a soup line...
or even on the side of the road.
It is a chance to be closer, to friends, 
and family..., and even strangers 
that have earned our trust. 
The goal, together as one...
to lift up our hands to heaven, 
and tell Him who is dear to our hearts,
a comfort to our souls, 
a truly precious savior... 
that "we" are here, 
to worship. 

Be grateful 
for every mouthful, 
from the first bite to the last. 
The bounty of our lives, 
your "Grace" given... 
by the blood of your son, 
and only that can bring peace, 
to our hearts..., 
and our souls. 

Amen.
