A cloudy nightfall of gentle ambiance
The moonlight lacking its tingle and radiance
My phone lit up with a tone that I heard
The text that began to change my world

I sent my greeting with timid disposal
The clock stood frozen, a perfect interval
My flame was fading but you fired your reply
It filled me with wonder that soared to the sky

It feels like paradise whenever we speak
Emotions cascade like streams from their peak
I am enchanted and under your spell
This feeling I have runs deeper than well

You shared your secrets, I offered you mine
Our tender connection blossomed so fine
Until one moment, I bared my heart's part
I silenced my mind and followed my heart

Every sweet notion, I swore without clue
The crystal-clear truth: I've fallen for you
You said it's fine but my heart disagrees
These fragile assumptions brought me to my knees

It's hard to say but I lost in this game
My foolish heart is the one I can blame
Soft conversations have withered and dried
The embers of hope have silently died

I've woken to reality, admitted the truth
That this has no future, no blossom, no fruit
This marks the boundary, no paths to explore
