Texas
You didn't really want me,
You wanted Donna Reed.
You couldn't see the forest,
You only saw the trees.
I wanted you to listen,
You turned and walked away.
I begged you to remember
You said I couldn't stay.
Was a time you won’t acknowledge
When you took from me as well
Money from the cookie jar
More betrayals than you'll tell
Your fear is all consuming,
And now it’s taken you.
You’re lying in your dungeon
And calling me the fool
Well it’s a good thing that we ended,
I’m glad that’s what you did .
For I was never free with you
With you, I always hid.
