Tethered To A Memory
Love reveals your inner beauty,
invisible to the naked eye;
then buffs it up
until it shines for all to see!
The goal of your heart
is not the pursuit of love,
but to find your soulmate;
within whom love awaits.
Fueling feelings,
dreams and fantasies
harbor hope;
when all seems lost.
For both passion and desire
linger within a broken heart:
like the scent of a faded rose,
tethered to a memory.
Hugs, caresses, and kisses,
have a magical effect;
conjuring up a smile:
that makes reality less severe,
at least for a little while.
And still, hope guides fate
as you chase
that elusive better tomorrow.
While today slips unnoticed
into the memories of yesterday;
like an unfulfilled wish,
forever lost to time.
