And if the Western Allies stopped bombing middle eastern countries maybe we'd all live in peace. Drones killing innocent children in Pakistan, and the West wonders why ! An excellent set of senyrus Eileen.

This is a significant one to reread. Dropping by with a hug. I did some additional editing to my Freddie collaboration poem. Let me know what you think.

I came back to read again! When I hear a voice of compassion and love, gives me hope no matter how dark the days!

Something deep to ponder in this work. The innocent suffer in all such attacks. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Thank you for the visit, Matthew. I appreciate it. Yes, it is the innocent who pay the price in most cases.

Oh Eileen you got this one wrong, terrorism does not reign, you reign as the Queen of Love who speaks out against such things, no matter how dark the sky, the sun shall always rise above and return the light. Hugs!

Hate and violence...death, pain and fear...this is not what God had in mind! We must never give up on hope ... LOVE is the answer, while keeping in mind that we cannot eliminate hate by hate! Hugs // paul

My heart breaks for the state of the world, Eileen. I cannot watch the news, and even if I did, I know that most of the world's tragedies never get reported here anyway, so I pray and hope for peace. God is everywhere and all lives are precious...thanks for sharing your heart. Hugs, Rhonda

"Terror plays no favorites" - so true, and worded in such a sad yet eloquent way. This is precisely what poetry is meant to do - to educate, to express, and to move people.

The whispers of peace and love could never be heard by ignorance and its sibling fanaticism! Throughout history these two have committed and will commit atrocious crimes as long as knowledge and harmony reigns in our hearts and minds! Fantastic writing, dear Eileen! You have touched the core of the problem and hope to touch the hearts of those who read! A seven for each verse! Filakia!

Thank you, my esteemed poet. You honor me, as always. It makes me sad that there is so much hatred in the world. I can not bear it long. Thank you for being a voice for the voiceless. My estimation for you grows daily. Blessings....

Eileen. answer to your question. The only word I can think of close to evil that would allow you to use "limits" in that line is Spite. Spite knows no limits?? sorry can't be more helpful. Gotta get off here for the day, finally. MY poor dog. I really want to walk him AND myself. haha (guess what? I have lost ten pounds since my birthday now! It's very slow going but I am motivated for Thanksgiving when i travel)

hey, you got an interesting pattern going. I love how you repeated that one line. I enjoyed the creative thoughts that terrorism inspired in you. Thoughts that make us pause and reflect on those innocent lives taken and hope for an end to this horrible stuff.

Hey, sweetie. You are right. Do you have suggestions for that first line. I really don't like how it reads, but have no idea what to do with it. hugs

I will pray and hope Eileen. What you said to Mark below is happening in pockets of my city as well. There have been 417 murders so far this year. Last week a 9 year old boy was executed because of gang retaliation involving his father. It is so disheartening.

Oh....I'm so so sorry to know of it, Paul. Yes....I know that evil is prevalent everywhere. Gang warfare is so sad. Sometimes the weight of sadness is more than the heart can bear. Be well and safe. Thanks for the post.....

Amen to that! Marks comment resonates with me. Olive branches barely stand a chance when men embrace their hate with such fever.

Thank you, Richard. Hatred, unfortunately, travels through generations. That is why...it is so potent and vile. If you were to see the beheadings. The terrorists using the heads they've just chopped off as footballs. I can't watch the videos....It's too horrific. Let me not think of it too much. Thanks for your kindness to me. hugs

Eileen, A quite timely and compelling Senryu. You've hit the mark and touched the essence of the open boundaries regarding Terrorism. An excellent, but sad write, of course, given the topic and the multiple tragedies!! A "7" and A "FAV" from me. (If you have time, check out a narrative I just posted on "Paris November 13th Makes Me Weep -- Afterthought." It's similar to a narrative write I did in January of this year on the Charlie Hebdo killings.) So much tragedy in our world!! Cheers, Gary

Thanks ever so much, Gary. You are kind to read my senryu string. Just some thoughts floating around in my head lately. I just want it all to go away, but I'm selfish.....I want to cocoon myself from all the horror. However, there are those who are in mourning now...May they find comfort. I will look for your poem right now. Blessings.

Mankind is ultimately a destructive beast, whether it be under the banner of religion, politics, terrorism or greed the reasons will never make sense. The irony is that the killing perpetuates the hatred and olive branches only catch on fire.

You are right, Dear Mark. Hatred goes from generation to generation. I live in an area where....kill a member of my family...I kill a member of yours. It is getting better, but it is not unheard of. Sad. Lovely avatar. Bless you. Hugs
