Terminal

The ticking of the clock
Echoes in the silence
Of the room.
Time,
Like my life
Ebbing away.

The clock of the awaiting. One reason why we must keep busy and active, no matter how old we are. No clocks when the lights go out, just infinity in blackness >> James :)

Hi Sylvia I have a poem called sitting in the terminal waiting on a plane that I think you may enjoy just as much as I have enjoyed this poem of yours today, and by the way I stopped wearing my watch because I don't like to keep looking at it to see how much time has slipped away , Yet every day I do wake up with the early morning sun because it is my natural time clock to remind me that I was promised another day, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my poetry . GBYA sincerely Dean
