Temptation Salvation

A. W. Nutter Constant battles raging within Masters fighting for my soul Seeking forgiveness, chasing sin A life spinning out of control Creatures adorned with freewill Christ or Satan, my only choice Hearkening to the tempters trill As I pray to hear my God’s voice Forced to pay homage to a reprobate The holy trinity refuses an audience Satan, filling a young soul with hate The heart grows cold with defiance Pathways taken, lead to destruction Time spent on earth, has been my hell An unworthy soul seeking salvation Purifying blood, to break Satan's spell

You are a gifted poet Anthony, perhaps even a modern day prophet. It takes a lot to write from the heart as you do, words that contain the power to change lives.

The things which men torture themselves with aye? No need for Satan we have our own torments and tormentors. Light & Love [and we can be our own saviors too ;)]

Life, I find is like a scale of justice. In order to experience the good, there must be the bad also. Very profound writing, Anthony. Lainie

Interesting topic that you have chose..All we have to do is accept the forgiveness that has already been handled for us by Christ's death and resurrection..Satan still uses his wiles to temp us even after we have accepted the sacrifice..I am glad that I chose this one to read this afternoon..Sara

Forgiven is the knowledge that one has to accept..Such a simple message but hard to understand..Even then satan continues to use his wiles to temp man..Good topic and excellent way to express the idea...Glad that I stopped by to read your work..Sara

Many of us feel this internal struggle that you describe so well in your poem, Anthony. If you recognize your sins and feel true contrition, I believe a loving God will welcome you home. Love, Carolyn
