A rising sun cast pastel shades
Icy lavender fools
In the throes of summertime's heat
It is hard to keep cool
All seems quiet, just a Mockingbird's
Varied soft melodies
As the orange ball of a sun
Rest with ease 'pon pine trees
A lovely day to enjoy the peace
A restful quiet morn
Even the roosters are silent
Time for good thoughts to be born
Soon the sun's changing position
Will transfer radiant heat
The day will become hotter
Which even icy drinks can't beat
Is hell getting__hot_ hotter still
Heated with fervent heat
So hot for those who don't repent
Punishment to meet their feats
