Temper Tantrum

During the night the heavy storm came. Lashing rain and winds that were wild. By morning, gone, and now weather tame. The skies, bright and clear, wind now mild. Nature's temper tantrum, like that of a child.

This is perfect for my 2 year old niece, Kalona; a very great write. It made me laugh - that last line though! You made an incredible impact on me by writing this. -DWB

Sometimes she can act like the most egregious juvenile delinquent. This is another great quintain you have written.

Francine, others have submitted election humor entries about events outside the U.S., so I'll be happy to receive yours. One poet wrote about a mayoral race in Canada and the poem is quite good. I didn't intend for the contest to be just about U.S. politics. Thanks for your support! Love, Carolyn

This reminds me of Beethoven's Pastorale Symphony -the storm and the sweet after music. Great! Love, Dave

Hi Francine. thanks for your kind comment, especially as it led me to this beautiful piece. Having sat at home in the wind and rain all day, late afternoon the sun came out and we walked our Atlantic beach, so this piece got to me. Thanks, Eamon
