Telling the Story of You

When words come slowly to the mind
And rhymes don’t follow thru in kind
When thoughts are pure and phrases done
You read it, think, Is this the one?

Poetry is like a life well spent
Enjoying every joy and dent
Stories of all the paths you took
A poem can make you take a look.

Pick up you pen and tell your tale
It may be great or it may fail
A ream of paper you’ll go thru
When telling the story of you.

You’ve read my poems, and I’ve read yours
As friends, we’ve traveled thru life’s tours.
