Tell Me Who Do You Say That I Am

" And even we Christians, although we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, also groan to be released from pain and suffering. We, too, wait anxiously for that day when God will give us our full rights as His children, including the new bodies He has promised us—bodies that will never be sick again and will never die." Romans 8:23(The Living Bible)

I say that Jesus is my Redeemer As I read this scripture it brings such joy and hope Each day battling pain and internal turmoil Emotional turmoil mostly of my own making I know my body the earthen vessel decays more each day I know through Him my spirit grows a little with each battle He died that He might redeem me from sins grip That horrible enemy that puts us down into a miry pit I, like Job, know that " My Redeemer lives" Someday on this earth He will stand All things will be right again Thank God for His Redemption Thank You, My Redeemer, Thank You

Quite an inspirational poem. He is capable of redeeming us from the pit of damnation. In all trials and tribulations, we have only one to depend on ! That's our redeemer ! His words in the Bible are promises to those who abide in Him. I love this poem, dear Sara !

Thank you, Valsa. I see from your writing that you know Him as well. We will meet in heaven even though we don't know each other personally on this earth. Thank you for your visit. Sara

Judy, It is hard for us as humans to forgive and when we do we still have memory which takes a long time to go away or to go into the back corners. If someone does us wrong it breaks our trust in them and that puts us in a position to not be able to trust them. I appreciate you dropping by and sharing. Sara

Hi Sara, it's wonderful to know there are still believers in God. Plenty think they are the Messiah and can heal all the world. Peace comes after death. But we can do our best to live through pain...love others and stop pretending we are God himself. Panagiota xx

Panagiota, I enjoyed reading your comment. We do put ourselves on a high pedestal sometimes. We are designed to be self preserving but some people take it to a far range over self-preserving. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Very inspirational argument. How little we know of Him who created us. I am who I am. Your are who is not, God stated to a great mystic. But we trust in Him who make all right.

Victor, We have to die to self which is not easy. We want to serve self not God. So we have to become" who is not" to fill with His Great Spirit. Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate the kind comments. Sara
