Tell Me Life

Dear life
I have no idea what to do next
Each day has become more pointless
I ask myself
What I’m supposed to do
But my question
Still remains unanswered
At this point
It feels that I’m only living to survive
You seem as if you’re punishing me
But for what

All through my childhood
I did what I was told
I worked hard
And I didn’t complain
Everything was perfect
So why did you flip me upside down
All I ever learned
You reversed
All I ever knew
You ripped away from me
There’s no more comfort
And no more true happiness
You took it all away
Instead you brought change
The bad kind
You brought pain, misery, and sadness
And threw it all at me at once

So what is the true purpose in life
It has become very hard to see
Grow up
Try to survive on your own
Just to die in the end
That’s what life has become
Some have it better
Some have it worse
But it’s all still the same

So tell me life
What is it I did wrong
Please tell me
Because soon enough
I may just feel like giving up
I won’t want to have to put up with
you any longer
So life
Either you get rid of the constant pain and hurt
Or I get rid of you
