Tell Me About You
dear child, don't recite
what you thought about your place in time might signify.
don't tell me about this place, I live in.
dear child, speak to me about you.
Some place is already wrong, and you were born
into it just like I have been.
Just tell me about you.
You know I love you, I know you know that.
I only wish for you to speak to me as though
you know more than I.
My dear child someday I know you will.
What will you carry along with you,
who are you, tell me about your soul.
I would like to know about you.
It would make me feel better
without doing all the research.
Please speak to me. Tell me just who
you wish to be.
Because I'll tell you, Yes.
If I could, I would tell you.
Yes.
Peace!
