Tell Him So

As night turns black, you take him back; there is no light, no wrong, no right. He breaks your heart, and the tears start; like drops of pain they fall like rain. The stars still shine but you're not fine; love lost its spark when hope went dark. Yet, he'll still try to sell the lie; he's not deadwood, and all is good. But a fake smile betrays his style. You should be mad, why are you sad? You're not to blame; don't play his game. Take back his key and let him see if he's untrue; he's not for you. Have a good cry; let that dream die. If love feels wrong, you must be strong and tell him so; then let him go.

The flow to this was almost perfect with no lines forced... In regards to the subject, I know so many people who hold on and stay unhappy.. It can be hard to let go, but sometimes it is best for both people.. Great poem.. Congratulations on your first place in the contest Emile..
