Television Addiction
In the dying light of sunset,
faces turn to the electric night.
The burdens of the morning rush
sleep in the t.v.'s loud light.
The problems the day contained
are pushed to the back of the mind.
The only question one wants to ask
is which cable channel to find.
Family togetherness suffers
from television's hypnotic glare.
A habit of television brings
a freezing of moral care.
The endless variety of shows
comes from society's point of view.
As the mind succumbs to addiction,
the loss of truth shines anew.
