Yep, she was so absorbed in her music, no wonder she was to become so well liked. Too young to go....:)

This is a very beautifully penned remembrance of a dynamic songbird. May her golden vocals be remembered forever. Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt read. Many Blessings, Always, Adell

A wondeful tribute T.S. I enjoy your work and I'm delighted that you read and comment on my and other members work. My only suggestion is that you read a little bit deeper... read more of the poets work to get a better understanding of who they are and from where they've come. Your work is full of hope and inspiration; representing who You are. Others are in a different place working our way to a better place... Lay

Welcome to Poetry Soup, T.S. I'm not familiar with Teena Marie, but you wrote a nice poem for her. Enjoy your time here at the Soup. My poem was a satire, but I saw children beaten very badly by the nuns and I was always afraid of them. We did get a good education -- at least those of us who weren't suffering concussions. Best wishes, Carolyn

i only just learned of the passing of the above talented lady, i cannot say i was familar indepth with her works, however i have listened to her singing and enjoyed it greatly, i suppose she would not have been all that old, there is a sad poiniancey that i feel,& the almost irrelavance of the world toward truer feelings.
