Once upon a time there was a bear called Ted
He was very down and lounged all day in bed
His mum was concerned as Ted was so sad
He totally changed since he lost his dear dad
At one time Ted was the talk of the town
He was happy and jolly just like a clown
Then his dad got ill and passed away
Ted never left the house from that day
His mum was concerned and called in the doc
He said Ted’s not coping well with the shock
Ted needs to get out of bed and get in the sun
Then he’ll soon regain his sense of fun
The doc also thought it would be a good idea
If Ted’s friends could take him out for a ginger beer
Ted’s mum immediately gave his friends a ring
And straight into action these bears did spring
Ted went for a drink and he started to smile
He hadn’t been outdoors for such a long while
The change of scenery did Ted the world of good
Now he’s back having fun with his pals in the wood
Ted goes out with his good friends every day
His mum is relieved he goes outside to play
He laugh’s and jokes and plays tricks with his mates
And he’s now met a girl bear and they go out on dates
His friends are special and they’ve helped Ted the bear
Ted’s so very lucky to have such good friends who care
