Tears On the Window
I place my palm flat upon the cold pane.
With each driving wind I can feel the rain.
I watch slightly hypnotized as each drop
trickles haphazardly downward nonstop
Only slowing to merge with another,
then flowing onward as it's twin brother.
A few slip behind my hand as they pass.
I can almost feel them ripple the glass.
Then very slowly the storm fades away.
I start to feel warmth from the suns rays.
I watch as tears and the rivulets dry.
Then it's as if the sky and I hadn't cried.
