Tears On the Window

I place my palm flat upon the cold pane. With each driving wind I can feel the rain. I watch slightly hypnotized as each drop trickles haphazardly downward nonstop Only slowing to merge with another, then flowing onward as it's twin brother. A few slip behind my hand as they pass. I can almost feel them ripple the glass. Then very slowly the storm fades away. I start to feel warmth from the suns rays. I watch as tears and the rivulets dry. Then it's as if the sky and I hadn't cried.

Beautiful write. Rains are always like that. They move our feelings so much, so that perhaps with them we cannot live but this year Rains have rather blessed the world more than enough. Here in India also at some places they have exceeded leaving few with fewer rains also like your place. Love and best wishes...Ravindra...Paula Swanson

Beautiful poem, Paula, but I hate to think of you crying while you're driving. Please take care on the road. You probably don't get a lot of rain where you live, but it's pouring up and down the East Coast! As Karen Carpenter sang, "Rainy Days and Mondays always bring me down." The weather does affect our moods, doesn't it? Love, Carolyn
