Tears of Youth
I heard you, a girl of sixteen, giggle and laugh
Though the fast moving time was unpleasant and tough.
Inimitable youthful smile flashed from your heart
Tinted your face crimson, a piece of charming art.
In the air the sound of music wafted I heard
Throbbing your vibrant heart singing as a lovebird.
Immersed within its soft rhythm your sparkling eyes glanced
Torrents of joy in the shadow of eyelids danced.
It is a strange thing, love often grows flying wing
To obscurity it drifts, ditched heart stops to sing.
Insipid smile melts, silent tears begin to flow
The sound of silence I would hear, I did not know.
I froze the tear drop in sixteen year old sad eye
To gleam it with sparkle of joy again, I’d try.
