Tears Never Die
I lie awake most nights,
just staring through the ceiling.
And soon it comes in sight,
that same old empty feeling.
No matter where I roam,
I find the truth to be too true.
Hard times will make a home,
where good times are too few.
I heard a joke the other day,
to smile I had to try.
When laughter fades away,
pain remains, cause tears will never die.
