Notes About The Poem
Lost music is like tears on the wind.  Made this rather quickly, didn't realize I was a quatrain short of a sonnet at the time.

Tears In the Wind

Tears In The Wind

Left hand deftly fingering strings on frets,
While my right hand is picking or strumming.
Composing a sad song about regrets
And searching a melody by humming.
I easily find a chord progression,
Played in a melancholy minor key,
Then add some dynamics for expression--
Reaching a fugue-like state releases me
Fleeting perfection is my endeavor.
Like tears in the wind, now lost forever.

Thank you. I did feel rather inspired writing this one; it came out rather quickly without a lot of wordsmithing.

Short but speaks of much sadness...

It wasn't really meant to be sad, per se, just about writing a sad song. That fugue-like state is rather like bliss, to tell the truth. You might also like Trying To Find The Groove and Turning Chaos Into Harmony. Similar topics. Thanks for commenting.
