Tears In the Rain

I cry in shower
Tears in the rain
Because it's the only thing that
Eases my pain.
It releases emotion
Of which there's an ocean
Bottled and stained.

I laugh as love
Falls from above
And litters my life with joy.
It's destiny
That plays with me
A dog with a chew toy.

I hurt as a man
Should
Who's alive and feels every injury.
I feel the crimson pain
As it traces through my veins
And laughter becomes perjury.

Yeah I will hurt as deeply as joy
For inevitable is my pain.
Let the tears fall
As echoes of laughter
Retaliate in my brain
Making foolishness of my suffering.
