Tears Forbidden

Look into my eyes and what do you see; genuine sadness, Look into my face and tell me what you feel; blatant madness! Take a look at how I walk and doubt will you see; true ambiguity, Just listen to the words I speak carefully; they are words of anxiety! Take my hand and feel it trembling; signs of insecurity, Touch my body and feel the scars; they are souvenirs of agony! Don’t stand there and watch me cry; I just need a shoulder, Put your head on my chest, hear my heart beat; it pounds louder! Look at my smile, the ends of my lips are forced up; pure forgery, The expression on my face says another thing; I need sympathy! Look at the tears in my eyes; do I give the notion of being okay? The beads of sweat on my forehead; they can even reflect a ray! I cry myself to sleep every night; it’s my favorite night cup, I wake up on a bright day; but I always wish I had never woken up! I fear the world because it poses nothing; but threat and harm, A child of anguish and distress; that is who I really am!

Heartbreaking, no child should have to suffer this...

The vulnerability and contrast of emotions empowers this poem.
