Tearing the Satin Wings
During everyday,
at a time so familiar and relative
the forbidden fruit wishes to be eaten.
So then will teeth be sunken into it's luster?
and savor its sweet, soft allure,
and let its presence inside turn and twist the stomach.
Will it resist?
clawing out it's eyes and drowning it's ears
so as not to let influence become the falling.
can it resist?
and remain along this line of crosses
with daggers in the heart and needles in the eyes.
and to what would that bring,
but a crooked smile,
and an awkward stare.
demons scream a name in the ear,
like nails to a chalkboard
a screech that no other can hear.
And with the struggles of fear
the blood will smear
and with it a tear.
