Tearful
Written: March 07, 2024 For Constance La France Contest
Quote by Rumi "You left and I cried tears of blood. My sorrow grows. It's not just that You left. But when You left my eyes went with You. Now, how will I cry?

If you shed tears as the sun leaves your world,
You can't view the stars with your tears unfurled.
When my coffin is taken away on my funeral day,
Please don't believe I'm missing this life display.
Abstain from voicing sorrow, crying, or sadness,
I won't plummet into the black demon madness.
Retain quiet when you view men dragging my body,
I am not soaring; rather, as endless love I embody.
Never bid me adieu as you bury me in the tomb,
Bear that a tomb is purely a veil of heaven womb.
You will merely behold my slide into the grave,
Watch my rise along with the sun or moon rave.
Though it appears to be sunset, it is daybreak,
If a tomb locks you in, your soul is free to partake.
Ever seen a pail thrown into a well, come out bare?
Why weep for a soul, as Joseph at the well compare?
