Tear this wall of mine right down

Tear this wall of mine right down
even
if it is just one brick at a time
And help me turn this
frown
of mine upside down
So that I can start smiling again
Because I am done healing
And I am ready to give my all
to that one very special person
That can love me as much
as I can love them in return
That also believes in
such
a thing called long term
Just try to understand
That its going to take me some time
To teach myself to try to trust again
But once you gain that
I will stand beside you
from the beginning to the end
Because I am a one woman man
that is ready to start loving again
