Tea Party 1000th Poem
The Crown is always trying new ways to raise money.
However, I don’t think this thing is a bit funny.
Although we have always sworn allegiance to our King,
officials want us to pay tax on just about everything.
And now they want us to pay more money for our tea.
We have to take a stand. Do you agree with me?
I would say for this outrage, we have had enough.
In the harbor, there are ships full of the stuff.
In disguise, let us board those ships tonight.
We will dump the tea into the water. Don’t you think that’s right?
