Tao
Yesterday, we followed the Tao.
Today, we are following the Tao.
How long do we follow the Tao?
Until the Tao turns around
and snaps at us,
for stepping on its heels.
Until the Tao calls the cops
for stalking it.
Until we catch the Tao
in a seedy hotel
with a whore.
Until the Tao moves
into a gated community.
Until the Tao refuses
to share its gummy worms.
Until the Tao leaves
on a southbound train.
Until the Tao rejects
your job application.
Until the Tao corroupts
your youth.
Until the Tao wastes
your time.
Until we
understand it.
