Tanka You, Doc, For Nada

Fastest tanka I ever wrote, inspired by Silent One's challenge and my endless "gratitude" for my doctor's gift of Prolia, the drug that keeps on giving and giving even after some of its victims discontinue using it. I reiterate, especially to older women - NEVER permit a doctor to have these types of fake drugs injected into your body. My government's FDA refuses to take it off the market even with all the women whose bones have broken after using it! Don't let your Mama take it! If you know of anyone being asked to take this drug, please have them read this first (also this information could include many other drugs with serious side effects that doctors today keep prescribing in lieu of better more natural remedies):

I wish you had never experienced this pain Andrea. It is so sad for innocent people to get caught up in the vicious effects of medicines prescribed for money. It is the same in every country. I know the horrible impact this drug has had on you. Advertisers and the company who makes prolia should be sued in a class action suit large enough to get it off the market for good. Thank you for letting others know about it. Long ago my doctor wanted to put me on it. I got another doctor and would not take it. Congratulations on your win! Blessings xxoo

Lucky you. You saved yourself. If only I had not been so gullible. I am off to what will likely be my last treatment with the therapy I've been trying (kind of like TENS or whatever it is called). I really had hoped it would help!

Powerful, poignant and to the point dear friend. As a culture all we want to do is pop a pill instead of looking at what is being prescribed. I have permanent neck damage from a medication. I understand walking in your shoes. In my prayers. Congratulations on your winning placement.

thanks, sam, what is most annoying is that I was given something I did not really require and I was not told all the lawsuits against it and did not realize I could find forums where people are discussing this stuff. That is why I am trying to get the news out to everyone about how dangerous Prolia is!

Its a sad last line.. it is difficult when we are in pain, but sometimes pain is the only thing that reminds us we are alive.. I hope it gets easier for you..Congratulations on your placement in the contest..

I reiterate: Hippocrates said that there is no illness which can not be cured by food, so you and your husband need to correct your diets! Medicine in the USA is about PROFIT, and profit is not made from curing people but by prescriptions which require follow-up visits. The more gunk you add to your system, the greater the challenge to find rectifying food. For $700 you could easily have found an Edgar Cayce! Aloha! Rico

and I forgot to add. Who said I was adding more gunk to my body? I am seeking treatments such as high frequencies to change the wiring of my nervous system since Prolia's side effects went to my brain and changed my wiring so my body feels very unnatural. I am NOT taking drugs and stuff. I just eat good. That is why your comment was so upsetting. when a woman gets breast cancer, she panics and follows what her doctor says. At least I said no to his stupid chemotherapy! They said I needed Prolia due to my having to take estrogen blocker, which depletes one's calcium.(I took myself off estrogen blocker too). Sadly, the class action law suit had not yet happened about Prolia breaking people's jaws. Doctors kept this from me. I had to learn on my own what Prolia was doing to me. People DO get hereditary diseases which are not related to diet, Rico. And people stupidly follow doctors when they are given news like cancer.

I do agree with you about medicine for profit. I was only doing what my oncologist told me to do in my "after treatments." Had I any clue of how evil the pharmacy companies can be, I would never have listened to him.

OMG, Rico, you are SO OFF BASE. After cancer (even BEFORE cancer, which is genetic in my family) I had been eating really well AND in five years, I have lost 35 lbs and am at my high school weight. I make sure EVERY day to get 7 servings ORGANIC veggies, a few fruits maybe, good oils, good organic proteins. What makes you think you can assume my diet is wrong. I was left with a screwed up nervous system giving me neuropathy of my mouth and back. It is such a rare condition, it's not even listed under side effects of Prolia, however, it is related to many mouth conditions that Prolia users suffer from. 15% of side effects from Prolia never go away. That comes straight from the mouth of a renowned Canadian doctor who happened to move to my neighborhood and cannot help me either. But I will not give up pursuing a cure. And BTW, traditional docs will not help me. I've tried!

I ache for you Andrea. This is well written and makes me want to do something for you. If I only knew what to do. I've heard my husband say the same thing when his arthritis is giving him pain. Which is often. God Bless my friend. JB

sorry about your husband. That must really suck. What pisses me off is that my cancer was 10 times easier than what the doctor did to me with his stupid Prolia, which I did not even NEED, come to find out later!!! I pray you find something for hubbie. Find a good holistic doctor. There is something called HEALY that I am looking into soon. Also the high frequency treatments I recently tried did not work for my nervous system but I hear then can work for arthritis. Stuff you guys can look into. and like someone else here said. TCM.

Any of the bone strengtheners they try to put on women can do harm but none as bad as Prolia. So older women you know tell them to do lots of research first.

I will contine to warn people against drugs. Only a few I believe are truly necessary . Many can have dire lasting side effects on people.

I have looked up TCM and see it close by my neighborhood! Will investigate it. I actually have tried the ancient art of Jin Shin Jyutsu the past several weeks! Feel nothing. Spent 600 on magnetic pad for the bed. It's supposed to help my husband with joint pain, etc. Doesn't do a dang thing!!

I've just thrown away another $700 or so on another unconventional treatment (since the average doctors know nothing for me). On to another treatment idea(gotta check out the one you mention) Thanks, dear.

Here is the thing, They actually say to you, "Don't read the crazy people at the forums" yet if I'd been smart and had known about the forums where people tell their complaints, I'd have avoided this whole thing to begin with. The doctors do not listen to us today. They are sheep to Big Pharma.
